According to Burlington County Times, the new 2017 Titan comes with a range of features. This full-size pickup has an available Cummins V8 engine with plenty of power, helping you to tow heavy loads and drive in harsh conditions. The model also comes with a shorter length and lower ride height, giving it a more stable center of balance.

Design improvements include a unique grille, with active shutters to improve airflow and aerodynamics. A spray-in bed liner protects your truck from cargo, and a number of tie-down hooks and a lockable storage box are perfect for hauling equipment and other supplies.

The interior has it all, with available features like vinyl flooring, stain-resistant cloth seating, and more. You can also opt for heated steering and seats, wood trim, and chrome accents. Plus, with an Around View camera you can easily maneuver tight parking spots.

Cummins and Nissan’s TITAN XD Triple Nickel Aims at Class Land Speed Records

What You Looking At?

We here at Economy Nissan can go on at length about the awesomeness of the 2016 Nissan TITAN XD and the power of its Cummins® 5.0-liter V8 Turbo Diesel and how it’s all quite useful for your day-to-day needs. Nissan and Cummins, however, wanted to know if the truck could hold up as a land speed record racer, leading to the creation of the 2016 TITAN XD Triple Nickel, which was revealed earlier this month at the 2015 SEMA Show.

Cummins and Nissan have had an innovative partnership for more than five years, with excellent results, including the award winning powertrain for the all-new 2016 TITAN XD truck,” Jeff Caldwell, general manager of Global Pickup & Van Business, Cummins, told Nissan’s press site.  “Our working teams have been discussing a land-speed record racing project for some time now, and we are thrilled to debut this truck at the 2015 SEMA Show. Our founder, Clessie Cummins, would be proud of the volunteers willing to spend the time pushing his diesel to its limits.”

Truly, the TITAN XD Triple Nickel is a looker with lowered suspension and a sharp black/white Cummins livery, but it’s more about function than form. The Triple Nickel is fitted with everything from a Stroud Safety parachute to Mickey Thompson tires, and it will eventually be fitted with a roll cage and other safety equipment necessary for it to vie for class speed records.

The 2016 Nissan TITAN SD Triple Nickel will compete in the D/DT class and FIA class A-III-9, in which the current class speed records are 191 mph and 115 mph, respectively. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.
