France is getting some new Nissan models in 2015. The Juke and its bigger brother, Qashqai, are seeing some special editions. The Nissan Design Editions include some new technology and flashier styling. Both special editions are based on the Acenta trim level.
The Nissan Juke Design Edition is painted Artic White and sits on 17 inch alloy wheels with a rear tinted window. Technology includes cruise control, automatic climate control, and Bluetooth connectivity. Red accents and inserts on the front bumper as well as red contours and red mirror caps set it apart from everything else on the road.
The Qashqai sits on the 17 inch alloy wheels but lacks the Juke’s red accents. Instead it has front and rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, and light and rain sensors. A panoramic glass roof, roof bars, and tinted rear windows are optional.
The Juke starts out with a DIG-T 115 and 1.6L 117 petrol connected to an Xtronic CVT or a dCi 110 diesel. Engine variants for the Qashqai include the DIG-T 115 petrol and Xtronic CVT hooked to a six speed manual or the dCi 110 with a six speed manual. Pricing starts at 21,490 euros.
Atlanta already boasts the second-best conversation rate to electric driving in the country—second to only San Francisco. That’s a pretty impressive number for a city so far South, especially since the stereotype says EV driving is only for California. Now, Nissan hopes that number will get even higher thanks to a new rebate program started by Nissan in Atlanta.
Here’s hoping the Nissan program starting soon in Georgia, makes its way to Colorado.
The Nissan rebate reaches out to local employers, who will receive a $1,000 rebate on every 240V, Level 2 charger they install. “While most EV drivers plug in at home overnight, workplace charging enhances the LEAF ownership experience and expands the number of miles a LEAF driver can go on power produced here in Georgia,” said Brendan Jones, director, Electric Vehicle Sales and Infrastructure Deployment, Nissan. “Nissan is investing to support charging both in the community and at the workplace for the thousands of LEAF owners in Atlanta, and Georgia Power is a great partner who shares that commitment.”
There are more Nissan LEAF owners on the roads of Atlanta than anywhere else in the United States, and the green take-over will continue thanks to this great new initiative from Nissan and Georgia Power EV. The special rebate program—with Nissan and Georgia Power both contributing $500—only lasts till June 30, 2015, so hopefully employers take advantage! Come see us today at Economy Nissan to learn more about our EV lineup.
