Earlier this month, a giant, mysterious, orange locker appeared in San Francisco. Initially, the only clues as to what could be inside were the fact that both the Amazon and Nissan logos were slapped on the side.
As the mystery continued to brew, the two companies finally spilled the beans about the giant locker. Passersby are encouraged to post photos and comments using the hashtag #giantlocker. This could earn them unique codes that will open doors on the locker letting them win a variety or prizes, including Amazon music downloads, and more.
“One lucky participant will get the surprise of a lifetime when his/her code opens the giant door, and s/he wins a new Nissan Rogue,” a Nissan spokeswoman said.
This joint marketing feat is part of Amazon and Nissan’s continued partnership. Last year, Amazon started selling Nissan cars online and even delivered one Nissan Versa Note in a giant Amazon box—the cars usually have to be picked up at a local dealership.
Would you ever order a new Nissan online at Amazon?
