Here at Economy Nissan, we understand that you have a lot on your plate. With summer right around the corner, you’ve got soccer and baseball games to worry about. There are birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and any number of outings to keep organized. There are road trips and “staycations,” which come with the ever-present need to make certain that the kids are having fun and staying safe. All of this, paired with the responsibilities of maintaining your home, garden, and workload, can make for a lot of undue stress. And then there’s that summer heat to worry about…
Fortunately, one thing you won’t have to sweat is how your Nissan affects the world around you. That’s because Nissan was recently named the biggest riser on Interbrand’s Best Global Green Brands 2013 list. Interbrand, whose annual list ranks companies by the environmental awareness of their practices and by customer opinion, ranked Nissan fifth out of fifty global brands. This is a 16 spot increase for Nissan over 2012’s figure.
In its overview of Nissan, Interbrand cited Nissan’s all-electric, zero-emissions vehicle, the Nissan LEAF, as a primary reason for the high ranking. The 2013 Nissan LEAF, which recently topped Kelley Blue Book’s list of best “green” cars, is an industry-leader for all-electric technology and boasts an impressive EPA Average 75 mile range.
Interbrand also cited Nissan’s commitment to further reducing the environmental impact of their models: Nissan intends to reduce the weight of their vehicles by 15 percent starting in 2017 by utilizing cutting-edge 1.2 gigapascal steel technology.
What does this mean for the future? Smarter, safer driving and fewer worries in the watches of the night. That is important for the Nissan driver who is always on the move. And at Economy Nissan, we look to be there with you for every mile of the way.
