Three Nissan Models Earn Top Awards from IIHS

2013 Nissan Altima IIHS Award

2013 Nissan Altima, Versa and Juke win IIHS Top Awards

If you are looking for a safe car for your family, Nissan has three models that should make it onto your list.  The 2013 Altima, 2013 Versa and 2013 Juke have each been honored by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety by receiving top marks in their safety tests.

Both the Versa and Juke received Top Safety Pick Awards.  This means they received a rating of “Good” in the moderate overlap front, side, rollover and rear crash tests.  These models come equipped with a variety of standard safety equipment, including Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System with dual stage, dual threshold front bags, passenger side impact air bags, Active Head Restraints, and many other features.

The 2013 Altima received the highest marks possible, winning the Top Safety Pick+ award in its segment.  This means it received a “Good” rating in the moderate overlap front, side, rollover and rear tests, as well as an “Acceptable” rating in the small overlap front test.  “The 2013 Altima is truly Nissan’s most innovative Altima ever, and the ‘Top Safety Pick Plus’ designation by IIHS reflects the engineering and design that have gone into this car to make it stand out in the class,” commented Bob Yakushi, Director of Product Safety.

We are now selling all three of these IIHS Top Safety Pick awarded models here at our dealership, Economy Nissan.  Stop by today and test drive one of Nissan’s most highly rated and safest vehicles on the road!
